Artist's Profile
Fourth-generation Portlander Paige Lambert's artwork is rooted in the
Northwest tradition. Grandfather John Staehli's fountain in Washington Park
and terra cotta building facades grace the city. Paige studied with
Frederick Littman, Manuel Izquierdo and Keith Jellum Each is a master of
technique and was profoundly inspirational to her sculptural style. "Most
of my works are impressionist-style figures in natural poses, as if one had
caught the person unaware of his presence. My favorite subjects are people
in uninhibited, tender interactions with each other: portraits of parents
and children, lovers or siblings jumbled next to each other. It is my great
pleasure to create art that captures the sense of a moment in time that will
be treasured forever."
A graduate of Pacific Northwest College of Art, with post-graduate and
continuing studies at Portland State University and Clackamas Community
College, Paige is active in the arts community and in the field of arts
education.
