My obsessions are primarily of a sculptural nature, with some gardening and travel thrown in. I create sculpture and memorials for the private garden. My own landscape includes over 100 of my sculptural creations, which please me to no end. I love showing-up each day, to the studio, to see what will take form. I also teach mosaic and sculpture classes at my Vashon Island, Washington studio. My work is influenced by everything I see, but of particular interest to me is primitive art, monoliths, and guardian figures. My artistic hero is Simon Rodia, creator of the Watts Towers.
