I was fascinated with clay from childhood and by fifteen I had a kick wheel of my own. It lead to a five year apprenticeship with the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain, Denmark’s oldest design company. There, I had the privilege to work directly with many of the well known artists of the time and learned how they created and reproduced their work. Later, I was lucky to become part of the Dansk Design team that created the first oven-proof porcelain called 'Flamestone' which became a trend setter.

I married Eva and we immigrated to USA and settled in Denver, Colorado, where I turned to development and custom home building. Eva and I worked side by side in our own business and we loved it. Later, we moved to San Diego where we managed rental properties. In order to get close to two of our sons and their families, we finally ended up in Redmond, Washington.

My childhood desires of playing with stoneware clay and creating ceramic art have become reality. I now spend full time in my studio, making sculptures and decorative items. I also spend time developing my own glazes that I use for the finishing touch.
